There are all sorts of wonderful sewing gadgets out there, but the one I rely on for all my projects at some point or another is my trusty seam gauge.
My favorite type is a little multi-sided gizmo that gives a variety of measurements on both sides.
I got mine at a local fabric shop, but it can be got on Amazon here for a good price. In fact, get the two pack. I have at least two and they tend to escape right when I need them, so having a spare can't be a bad thing!
I love my 'sewing shuriken', and was most upset when I bent and snapped it some weeks ago. A new one was ordered, post haste, and arrived quickly, I'm pleased to say. We do get very attached to our kit don't we?
ReplyDeleteI love that name...I do call it my "ninja throwing star" when I've lost it and am asking my husband if he has seen it!
DeleteThis one looks practical! I don't have a proper measuring tool for inches yet, only cm, so I might get one of these. Or two ;)
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend it! I have one that I've tied a bright red ribbon through the hole to make it easier to find, though, and it still hides from me.
DeleteYes!! I love this thing! The couch ate mine for several weeks, I was just about to buy a new one when I found it. Fantastic little device :-)
